1Gb Ethernet SFP’s use an 8b/10b encoding so actually run at 1.25GT/s.

10Gb Ethernet SFP+ use an 64b/66b encoding so actually run at 10.3125GT/s

4Gbit Fibre Channel – 8b/10b encoding – 4.25GT/s

8Gbit Fibre Channel – 8b/10b encoding – 8.5GT/s

16Gbit Fibre Channel – 64b/66b encoding – 14.025GT/s
